Rated #2 in burgers in Wharton County. And personally my #1 place to grab the juiciest cheeseburger in town. NOW they have brisket burgers and man are they Amazing

Great Burger in a place you might not expect. They are made fresh to order and are so good! I got the mushroom Swiss burger so much food, and homemade onion rings they were delicious! I will be back!

Great burger place with gournet burgers plus lots of other goodies including chicken fried steak. Open Since 1938

I loved that we found somewhere else to eat when on our way back and forth to see my new grandson. Great place to eat and friendly staff We WILL be back for another homemade grilled burger!

Unbelievable! Emil's really takes you back to a nostalgic time. Casual and very cozy atmosphere and good food at a fair price served fresh with a smile. I stopped in for the forst time for lunch and fell in love with the best bacon cheeseburger i have had in a long time. I will be back every chance i get!

Old school burger joint. The Chili was phenomenal, crackers, onions, cheese on the side. Double cheeseburger and a Ruben both juicy delicious and large. I’m a large dude and I left full with leftovers. Don’t forget to leave room for pie. The peach cobbler was also well received.

Every town needs a place like THIS!!!! Such a great environment with history and so many meal options! Do not let the exterior of this place fool you… It is MUCH bigger inside for that large group setting!! Our crew had the patty melt, frito pie burger & regular cheese burger (on sourdough). All of them were huge portions. Onion rings & fries were ! The best part of the entire lunch was learning the history of Emil’s & “Fritz” along with the creamsicle shake!!! We will definitely be back (more than I will even want to admit )!

I’ve been here twice for lunch. The service is Texas friendly and fairly quick for custom orders. The decor is Texas home. The food is Texas good. This time I enjoyed my Texas Burger. My husband had the Reuben and loved it. We brought our adult sons who had the patty melt and the regular hamburger and were well pleased. The ambiance music is cheerful country with a smattering of contemporary western, which kept us entertained with conversation about music, artists, and country music culture. We had a pleasant lunch.
